Install the connector

  1. Sign in to Salesforce as a System Administrator.
  2. Open the install link: production or Developer Edition, or sandbox. It installs in production, sandbox and Developer Edition orgs.
  3. Choose Install for Admins Only and click Install.
  4. Go to Connect, pick your org type and click Connect Salesforce.

Uninstall

  1. In Salesforce, go to Setup > Installed Packages.
  2. Next to RenewalReady Connector, click Uninstall and confirm.
  3. Optional: Setup > Connected Apps OAuth Usage shows any remaining RenewalReady sessions (normally none, because tokens are revoked after each scan).

Uninstalling removes the connector app. The free scan never stores your org's data, so there's nothing else to delete. Subscribers with ongoing scans: click Disconnect on your dashboard first, which revokes the token and deletes the stored results (uninstalling also stops scans; we delete the token on the next attempt).

Subscriber dashboard

After checkout we show you a dashboard link to bookmark. The dashboard opens only for Salesforce admins of the subscribed org (Modify All Data or Manage Users): open the link, then sign in with Salesforce as an admin. From there you connect your org for weekly rescans, run Rescan now, save your prices and contract end date, print the CFO pack, manage billing and disconnect. Lost the link? Open the dashboard and either use "Email me my link" with your billing email, or sign in with Salesforce as an admin of the org you subscribed for.

"Only Salesforce admins of the subscribed org can open the dashboard"

Your user needs Modify All Data or Manage Users, from its profile or a permission set (System Administrators have both). Ask your Salesforce admin to sign in instead, or sign in with an admin user. The check is one read-only lookup and the sign-in token is revoked straight away.

Common problems

"OAUTH_APP_ACCESS_DENIED" or "app not installed" after signing in

Install the connector package in that org first (step 1 on the Connect page), and make sure you sign in to the same org you installed it in.

The scan says some checks were skipped

Some checks need extra admin permissions: frozen users need Manage Users, login history needs View Setup and Configuration. Connect as a System Administrator for the full picture.

Professional Edition

Professional Edition orgs need the API enabled for RenewalReady to read data. Email us and we'll help.

My results disappeared

Free-scan results live only in the browser tab that ran the scan. Run the scan again; it's free. Subscribers' latest results are on the dashboard.

"Salesforce didn't issue a refresh token"

Ongoing scans need a refresh token. In Setup > External Client App Manager > RenewalReady Connector > Policies, make sure refresh tokens are allowed (for example "Refresh token is valid until revoked" or a set lifetime), then connect again.
